A User ID and password would have been provided to you by email or mail if you’ve previously registered on this site, or if an agency (e.g. prosecutor, pre-trial, court, etc.) added the course for you. Please enter that information into the User ID and Password fields.
To recover your User ID and/or password, select the “Forgot your password?” Link below the Log In button. This will open a window to allow you to enter either your User ID or email address to have a password reset link emailed to you.
Select the REGISTER FOR A COURSE link on the main page to open the FIND YOUR COURSE page.
In the Where did you receive your citation? section, from the drop-down list, select the State in which the agency that referred you to the course is located.
In the In which jurisdiction? section, from the drop-down list, select the District, County, Municipality or other agency that referred you to the course.
In the Which course are you taking? section, from the drop-down list, select the course that you have been instructed to take.
Click the Continue button to proceed with registration.
The Course Medium is medium on which you’ll take your course. The courses are designed for online delivery for best results, however some course are also available in workbook or DVD format if you do not have Internet access. Our alternate media, such as workbook and DVD, typically entail additional fees for shipping and handling and will take longer to process your test results.
Some referring agencies will have multiple officers who may refer courses and manage cases. If you know the officer who referred you to take the course, please select his/her name from the Agency Contact (optional) drop-down list so that he/she receives notifications and test data when you complete the course. If you do not know the name of the officer who referred you to the course, or if your officer’s name does not appear on the list, please leave this field blank. Your results will be sent to a central administrator at the referring agency.
To pay for the course online, you’ll need to select the brand of card you’re using, and enter your bankcard (debit) or credit card information. Please be sure to enter the Billing Address for your card (the address at which card statements are received), as incorrect address information may decline the transaction. If you do not have a bankcard or credit card, you can purchase a stored value card with the Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover logo on it to pay for the course. You will receive access to take the course immediately if you pay online.
To pay for the course by telephone, you’ll need to call our customer service center (866-494-8556) during business hours with your bankcard (debit) or credit card information. Telephone payments include additional convenience fees. If you do not have a bankcard or credit card, you can purchase a stored value card with the Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover logo on it to pay for the course. Our customer service business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 PM Eastern Time. You will receive access to take the course immediately if you pay by telephone.
To pay for the course by mail, select the Pay By Mail button, then select the Show Payment Slip button to generate your payment slip. Print that slip and mail it, along with your check or money order, to the address indicated on the form. Once the payment is received and processed, you will be sent your login Username and Password by email or mail to allow you to take the course. Please allow 5-10 business days from the time you mail your payment to the time you receive your login information.
Content is developed to address behaviors associated with different offenses and will vary by the type of course you take. Some courses are fully video, others have online and video content, while others are mostly online coursework with external videos and content. All courses include testing components both throughout and at the end of the material presented. Depending on your education level, you should be prepared to reserve up to four hours for materials review and testing. You will receive a certificate of completion once you’ve successfully completed the program, and your results will be sent to your referring agency.
Yes, most of the online courses allow you to stop anytime during the program and later resume where you left off. Note, however, that you must resume the course from the same device (computer, tablet, smartphone) on which you started the course. If the course does not resume where you left off, please go back to www.advent-elearning.com and enter your username and password.
Courses are designed to be taken on most any computer, laptop, tablet or smart phone running Windows, MAC OS, iOS, and Android operating systems.
We’ve tested for compatibility with most major Internet browsers, including Internet Explorer, Safari, Google Chrome, Edge, and Firefox.
Your Internet connectivity should have at least DSL-level bandwidth to support quality video playback.
Yes, each student is given two opportunities to complete the course successfully. You will not be charged for the second attempt to take the course. If you fail the course a second time, it will be up to the discretion of your referring agency to grant you additional opportunities to take the course.
Clicking the submit button more than once while making a payment online could result in multiple charges to your card. Refunds are automatically submitted the next business day whenever this occurs. If you do not receive a refund to your account within five business days, please contact our customer service center (866-494-8556, email@example.com).
The final page of each course will contain your score and the passing score. Please print this page for your records. If you provided an email address, you will receive a link to a certificate of completion that can be printed for your records as well.
Your referring agency can track your progress, see your responses, and is notified automatically via email when you complete the course. Your agency may also require that you provide proof of completion by either printing the final page showing your results or a copy of the diploma if received via email. If you selected an Agency Contact during registration, that person will receive this information; otherwise, an administrator at the agency will receive your information.
To request an extension of your due date, log into Advent eLearning and select the Request Extension button on the course box of the student homepage.
A Request Extension dialog box will appear: enter the new due date you are requesting, a telephone number and email address at which you can be contacted if needed, as well as any comments you want to add in the “reason” comment box; click Submit Request.
The extension request will be sent to your assigning agency and, if approved, you will receive notification of your new due date.
To view, save or print a copy of your Course Certificates for your records, log into Advent eLearning and select the View Certificate button on the course box. Your certificate will open in a new browser window.
The Traffic Safety course is video-based and includes closed-captioning for the hearing impaired. To turn on closed-captioning, select the CC button on the video player of Traffic course.
Most all other courses have limited audio requirements and can be completed by the hearing-impaired without additional assistance required.
Advent eLearning courses are primarily text-based to allow for assistive technology compatibility, including with magnification and screen-reader applications for sight-impaired students.
If you wish to have the name of your court/clerk and presiding judge appear on your Certificate of Completion, you can add that information when you register for a course. Simply enter the name of your court/clerk in the “Court/Clerk (optional)” field and the name of your judge in the “Judge (optional)” field. Those values will appear on your certificate when you successfully complete your course.
